Late in the night of June eigth, 1987, a Mexican woman was carried into the Los Angeles delivery room in labor. The two women who brought her were dressed provactivly and assumed to be prostitutes, which the expectant mother was assumed to be as well. The two hookers disappeared after they were questioned about the woman's identity. Alicia's mother couldn't speak a word of english, and a translator determined that she didn't feel able to raise a child and wanted to have her put up for adoption. Her name was never given, but she eventually admitted she was illegal. After she recooperated from Alicia's birth, she was deported. Alicia was adopted into a Mexican family days after her birth and christened Alicia Cedillo. She spent her first eight years with this family, until it fell apart. Her foster father was an alcoholic who became addicted to crank. As the years wore on, he proved to be disloyal to his wife and abusive to her and the children. In fear of her life, her foster mother took Alicia and her son and ran away. However, her husband tracked her down and murdered her in the hotel they were staying at. Alicia and her foster-brother had been at school and came back to the hotel to find their mother dead. Social services took over and Alicia and her brother were put back in foster care. Alicia was adopted a year later by a new family in Dreanid. She went through therapy and became very withdrawn. Her new family is decent enough, Catholic and hispanic. They are far from rich and work hard to earn enough, but they aren't alcoholics or druggies or at all abusive. Compared to her past, Alicia has it good. Good Points: Gentle, kind and has unlimited potential if she opens herself up a little bit. Bad Points: Shy and withdrawn Hobbies: Drawing Likes: Her own space, a quiet life Dislikes: Large groups of people, gangs, talk of violence, confrontations Strange Quirks: Habits: Chews her nails Theme Song Permanent Tears by Eagle-Eye Cherry On the day of her arrival/No one is there to meet her/Something of a sad one/A girl with permanent tears/Born without a family/Born without a name/All she ever wanted/Was to wipe her tears away//If someone came to love her/And if someone came to be/The one that will protect her/Be a family/Now we will see a smile again/And tears like dreams can be/Something we will never see/Lost in her memory//She’s something of a tragedy/Stands in the shade of despair/I want to cast some light onto her world/A world of permanent tears/Born without a family/Born without a name/Free this weeping willow/From drowning in a flood of tears
