Sevrina had made it Dreanid High in record time, managing to escape the view of the CHP and local cops. She had picked up Anisa, drove her home as fast as she could, then made it back to her apartment to change. Sevrina changed into a suit set she had acquired from Frederick's of Hollywood. It was a sexy little black number, with a skirt that was just a little higher than mid-thigh, and the coat laced up the front to show a strip of skin. Instead of wearing a bra beneath, she used press-on cups to keep everything in place. The coat was likely pushing a little too far, but she could make it look classy. After all, she HAD modeled this one and made it look good, instead of slutty. With the lack of a bra, not much cleavage was visible. Sevrina polished it off with a sleek ponytail and classy, simple makeup. As she was heading out the door, hopping on one foot while putting a pump on the other, she realized she would never make it in time. With a groan, she hurried out the door and nearly ran to her car. The drive to school was as quick as she could make it safely, though she ended up being about fifteen minutes late. Damn you Anisa! Despite being late, she strode confidently into the lobby of the student union where she was to meet Donovan Cray. To appear more professional, she toned down the sway of her hips and made her movements less seductive and more deliberate. Donovan stood between two other men in black suits. Though indoors Donovan wore sunglasses large lenses, mostly hiding his scarring. He shifted his attention from the school administrator explaining the tardiness of the tour guide to the woman of the topic. She moved deliberates, everything about her seemed deliberate. Delicately he pushed the sunglasses back up the bridge of his nose with a finger. "I think I am ready for the tour now gentlemen." He spoke more to his entourage than the administrator. "I would think the UCLA campus is safe enough for me to walk about on my own." The two large men nodded nearly in unison before leaving his side and heading for the car. Before Sevrina arrived to him the administrator turned to her and gave him her name. "And she will be your guide for the day." Donovan briefly removed his glasses and tilted forward, his chin-length hair bobbing with the movement. He bent at the hip and offered her his hand. "Donovan Cray." Sevrina briefly glared sharply at the administrator for not giving her the chance to introduce herself, then turned her emerald gaze to Donovan, now much softer and welcoming. She shook his hand firmly. "Hi, sorry I'm late, I had some pressing business to attend to," Sevrina replied. Unlike many her age, she exuded the confidence of a professional. Her voice was clear and firm, as opposed to meek and stammering, which was why she was selected for this role unanimously. "If you will follow me, sir..." Sevrina just barely nodded toward the door and briskly turned on heel to lead him out. As she walked, she considered his appearance. He was much younger than she had imagined. She now recalled hearing he was 27, but that information seemed to have been buried. He was rather attractive, but had he been an average person, Sevrina likely would have passed right by him on the street. There was something to be said for power and money, especially when you were someone working their way to celebrity status. Everything about him was sleek, clean and efficient. Not a hair on his head seemed out of place. However, that strange scar on his face stood out. What was it from? Sevrina knew this. That's right, his house had been burnt down when he was a child. She heard it mentioned he bore a scar on his face from that. It wasn't too bad now, but with the cut of his hair and the large lensed sunglasses he had worn, why hadn't he invested in getting it fixed through plastic surgery? Once they reached a place of note, Sevrina gave her speech about the campus, particular buildings, the generous donations that led to their building, blah, blah, blah. She delivered her speech in the same strong voice, only once getting her tongue tied, which she seemed to ignore even happening as she continued speaking. Her mouth was starting to feel a bit dry, but this was not the time to stop for a drink. When they got to the third building Donovan spoke again. "I'll be honest with you. I don't have any interest in any of these buildings." He reached to his face and removed his glasses, carefully stowing them to a hidden pocket in his suit jacket. "So far you seem more intelligent than that Mr. Johnson. Show me what's worth investing in this school." "When I approached the school with my offer I told them I wanted a tour from one of their best students. If you can prove to me you're worth investing in you may even have a job after this tour." Sevrina turned back to Cray and a smirk grew on her lips at the challenge. A job? Sevrina wasn't sure if she could take it at the moment, but she would prove she was able of taking it, whether she refused or not. "Thank you, sir," Sevrina replied, still with the smirk. Her professor insisted that she go through the boring list, but, if Donovan didn't want to hear it, then she would just have to move on and do it her own way, wouldn't she? Continuing at a faster pace, she lead him through the campus heading toward the Anderson School of Management. However, before she got very far, a young man stepped out in front of her. The Freshmen who'd be tagging along with her earlier in the day—what was his name?--for some reason thought that she was available for a chat. "Hey Sevrina! Wow, you look gorgeous! You busy?" he asked in rapid fire, then thrust out his hand with a rose. "I got this for you. Do you wanna go out tonight?" He seemed oblivious to the deathly glare Sevrina focused at him. Straightening just a bit higher, her glare turned icy. "Can't you see that I'm conducting important business boy?" her voice was just as cold. Instead of letting this interference turn into an embarrassing heated conflict, Sevrina gathered her wits and intended to coolly dismiss him. It was quite easy to see that now he realized just what he stepped into. The young man took a step back and his confidence visibly diminished. "I do not have time for this. We are not dating and you are not to speak to me as if I were your 'girlfriend', which I never was. Now, move." Obediently, he stepped away the moment she finished, as if reprimanded by a superior. Seemly unaffected, she turned back to Donovan with a charming smile, "I'm sorry you had to see that. Shall we continue?" Sevrina walked on. Internally, she was seething, but she sealed it off. Now was not the time to get upset over one annoying freshman. Her controlled walk faltered without her notice. Though she still carried herself proudly, her hips began to sway in a more comfortable manner. "Interesting." Donovan whispered to himself as he proceeded after Sevrina. "Power is power." He told himself in his mind. Money, power and sex was drove all men, this student seemed to control one of three like one of her delicate fingers. She would be useful. "I'd actually like to see the computing facilities." Sevrina nodded, "All right then," she replied and continued on the same path. The Anderson School had it's own lab, as did just about each building. They soon arrived the the Anderson portion of Campus and Sevrina quickly led Donovan through the build with the first stop at the computer lab. It was quite new and up to date, and a few students were working away. Sevrina spoke a little on the facilities available, covering the Internet connections, quality of the computers, what programs were available and so on. As she circled the room, she came across a student looking up something inappropriate on the Internet that certainly couldn't have anything to do with school work. Sevrina tapped him on the shoulder and the student instinctively closed the window and looked up at her. He seemed a little surprised to see her instead of a teacher. "Get your own computer and do that in your dorm," Sevrina ordered. "This isn't a cyber café." Too embarrassed to resist, the student clumsily got up, murmured an apology and hurried out of the room. Sevrina's eyes followed him out. She sighed again and turned back to Donovan. "Of course, some people like to take advantage of free Internet. What would you like to see next?" "Next." Donovan considered over his breath, leaning in his stand slightly with arms crossed while he studied the room. "I would like to know what kind of extracurricular activities this school offers that would be beneficial to Cray Corp. I'd like to make an estimate of the return on this investment." "Well, there plenty," Sevrina replied. "Follow me," she said and headed out the door. Once they left the computer lab, she began explaining all the ones she remembered off the top of her head. She spoke quite eloquently and only went into detail over those she knew were relevant. Sports, clubs, apprenticeships, hands on programs, and the like were mentioned. The entire purpose of the walk was to reach one of the bulletin boards which were plastered with an assortment of announcements, invitations, notices and other postings. Sevrina quickly scanned them over and pointed out a few. "Of course, you can get a complete listing of registered activities from campus offices, but this should give you a better scope of what's most popular with the students," Sevrina explained. Donovan ran his eyes through the bulletin board quickly. Sevrina was right, it was fairly easy to find which activities were the most popular. The board gave Donovan a pretty fair assumption of what to expect from this institution. "Alright." He announced quietly. "I think that's about everything I wanted to see on this tour. Now…" Donovan gave her a slow look over, attempting to judge her from how she acted during the tour and how she carried herself. "I have a proposition for you. I require an intern on the committee in charge of construction and operating the new building. I want to be certain that it meets all student needs." Sevrina suppressed the urge to smirk and looked at Donovan coolly. "You do?" she responded, waiting for him to suggest the position directly to her. She wasn't going to outright assume it was her—though it obviously was—nor show any excitement. Interesting. Donovan thought to himself. Most would assume that they were given the job, though she would have assumed correctly. "After seeing a few students I believe you are most fit for the job." Donovan reached into his suit jacket and offered her his card. "Think about it then contact me." Sevrina gave a small smirk and took his card. "I will, thank you, sir," she replied. Tucking the card into a small pocket on the hip of her jacket, she gestured back toward the way they came. "Shall we go back to the main lobby?" "Let's." Donovan waited for Sevrina to take the lead and followed behind her. During the walk back he spared a glance at the campus but that was less interesting than this woman before him. She was strong and confident and had shown her intelligence on different occasions. If molded correctly she could be an asset to the company.
