The Invitations Go Out! (Grand Manor of Duchy Griff, Moss)

Invitation wrote:King Kadomos the VI of Alania requests your presence at a ball to honor the heroes of our time. Please, don your finest and come to the palace by April 5th, New Royal Calendar 547. Your immediate family is welcome to accompany you.

Thank you. We do hope to see you then.
King Kadomos the IV
Parn, former Free Knight of Lodoss
Queen Deedlit
Princess Ailil
"Baroness, a message has arrived from Alain for you and Sir Puzzle."

"Oh, thank you. That will be all Gustov."

The courier left, his boots sliding and clicking against the stones of the hall. The parchment was folded and sealed with the royal wax seal of someone very important. She ran her finger under the seam and the wax cracked apart. In graceful script, she read..."King Kadomos IV requests your presence at his reunion..."

"Oh, goodness."

Puzzle and Willow looked over the invitation. The twenty years since their "adventures" had passed if not in joy at least in complacent contentment. "Heroes of Lodoss? Certainly that can't be in reference to us." Willow had the title of Baroness, Puzzle was honorably knighted in the duchy and held the title of Dean and Maestro at his academy. Still, despite their titles, the letter humbled and shamed them. They were simply looking for their sister. Heroes? No. They decided to send gifts from the harvest of the lands to honor the true heroes and respectfully declined to appear. "We have our own matters to tend to. Let the honor go to the true heroes, not a pair of drifters who stumbled onto something larger then themselves."
