It was around six and getting dark, and with darkness, came people looking for a good time. Anisa put in a call to a buddy with a car on the southside of LA and left before her father came home from work. Now, they had stopped outside a bar where a gang of bikers had parked as well. Anisa was armed with a switchblade knife and a fake ID with her sister's picture. Her friend Micheal was 21, so he was safe. He was a gangly guy, about 5'11", mousy brown hair, plain brown eyes and some acne scars in his faintly tan skin. He was dressed in a worn hoodie, loose fitting jeans with a fair share of stains, and skater shoes with the sides worn through. Anisa didn't date him, he probably hung around for his chance with her, but would never outright ask her or speak of his feelings. Sevrina and her father would probably say he was a sweet guy, perfect for settling down with, but Anisa would likely over look him on her own. Besides, she didn't care to settle down. What sort of mother would she make anyway?

"Wanna go in?" Micheal asked, tossing his thick head of hair toward the door.

Anisa hopped up on the hood of the car, took a pack of smokes from her coat pocket and took out two, one for her, one for him. After lighting hers and taking a deep drag, she responded. "Nah, I don't know about a bar tonight....I've been cooped up all day, I want some freedom."

Micheal shrugged and took a seat on the hood as well, then lit his cigarette. "So, we just gonna sit here?"

"Until we figure out something better do," Anisa replied. "How about we get a fifth and head down to the beach?"

"I'm not driving drunk," Micheal sternly protested. "Why don't we skip the booze all together?"

"Bah, you're too uptight," Anisa muttered. Micheal seemed crestfallen from her disappointment, but it was likely he still wouldn't drink when he was the driver tonight, no matter her protests.

Jin pulled up to the bar on his white steed. He brought it in slowly and to a complete stop among other bikes before cutting off the engine. Jin gave a quick glance to his left where a couple were sitting on their car looking rather bored. He lifted off the visored white helmet with one hand and exposed his face to the air.

Taking a deep breath of the unfiltered air he shook the warmth out of his blue-tipped locks. Before hopping off of his machine he scratched an itch from his scalp and walked passed the car carrying his helm.

There was going to be a night-race tonight. The bar was the starting point and his opponent was inside. Several of the bikers cheered and booed at him as he headed for the entrance.

Anisa watched curiously as the young Japanese man rode in. He stood out in the crowd with his bike and all the white he wore, not to mention most of the gang here were a bunch of white honkies. She heard the mixed reaction he got as he approached the crowd. Taking another drag of her smoke, she turned around to watch curiously.

"Well, let's get going," her friend said.

"Nah, I wanna watch this," she replied.

"What?"

"I dunno yet. Somethin's happenin'."

A few minutes later people began pouring out of the bar. In the lead was Jin, walking next to him was a bulkier man dressed in the traditional black. A blond man that wore a sneer on his face.

Jin smiled softly, it wasn't arrogance, just amusement. Behind them the crowd cheered for the "Tokyo Devil" and the "Red Thunder." Jin turned briefly and gave them an amused smile before going to his motorcycle near Anisa, his eyes met hers a moment before he placed his helmet over his head.

The two racers moved their steeds to the street as an impartial man hollered the conditions.

"Five times around these blocks, the one that survives wins!"

The crowd was whipped into a frenzy as the two racers revved their engines. They looked at each other once before snapping back forward waiting for the signal...

Again, Anisa's attention was captured by the Japanese rider as their eyes met. She repositioned herself on the hood of the car, getting more comfortable. They were going to stay for awhile if there was going to be a race.

Engines roared at each other. The American racer made sure his was the loudest, as if that were a test of his manhood. Jin just let his purr softly, his eyes locked onto the less than half dressed girlfriend of his opponent get ready the signal.

The girl began swinging a bandanna wildly signaling the start. The two races took off into the night street. The American took the lead first. Jin was a few yards behind him in the first stretch. However when the first turn approached Jin's machine took the lead, conquering the inside track and forcing the other racer out to the edge.

At the second turn Jin's machine continued with the lead, spinning at each turn and keeping the inside track. At each stretch the American would seem to catch up but at each turn Jin would widen the gap.

During the race Jin forgot about his opponent. All that was on his mind was his machine and the road. All else were obstacles.

The race continued until the last lap. Knowing the outcome already the American became desperate. He moved his larger bike close to Jin's during the first turn and attempted to push him out of the way to take the inside track. Jin turned out of the way and allowed his opponent to take it.

However the American's machine was not made to handle a tight turn. His bike began to spin wildly and fell to the ground along with the rider. Jin allowed his engine to howl as he sped up and crossed the finish lineā€¦
