Eiyuu Kishi Den

Carianna had fixed herself up as well as she could, but no self-respecting Priestess of Rada carried such vain things as decorative combs or brushes. No matter how much appearance was not supposed to become the basis for judgment, it didn't mean she missed the old days, when she wore nicer clothes. Cari hurried down the hall just in time to see Xian come out. Her feet stopped her dead. There was a certain level of fear that remained about him since he ripped off a man's arm. But why was he sitting out alone? Cari inched closer until he noticed her. "Good morning!" she greeted with the best smile she could bring out. "Is everyone else inside?"

"Yeah." Xian said somberly. "They're all packed in there like canned fish. I prefer a little more space, so I came outside. But good morn' all the same to you."

"Well, would you like some company?" Carianna asked after a second.

"If you'd like priestess. I think they are waiting for you inside however." Xian responded.

"Patience is a virtue, they always say," Carianna replied as she brought herself to a seat beside him. "So how are you feeling?"

"I'm feeling alright. I still feel a little bad about screwing up the other day." Xian sighed deeply. "I guess the problem with me is that I don't think things through before I act." He paused momentarily, and returned Carianna's question. "But enough about my mistakes, how are you? Did you sleep well?"

"I'm not used to sleeping on the go," Carianna replied. "Strange beds make me nervous, but I get through the night." Her voice was shaky for a moment when she said it. She knew far too much about strange beds to feel safe. "I'm rested though."

"Well as long as you're rested." Xian yawned. "I met a girl downstairs, seems like a nice kid." He remarked offhandedly. "She wants to show us around town for some money and some food. Looks like a total hard luck case. She's a little roughed up and whatnot."

Carianna smiled brightly. The poor were the people she felt most comfortable. All of her time before then was spent with them, teaching and helping in whatever manner she could. Mostly, though, she simply provided a shoulder for stability. A single presence is enough to change a life. "That sounds wonderful. We can exchange services. I've learned that nobody knows a city like the less fortunate do. Its a shame they are rarely recognized for their potential."

"Yes indeed." Xian said while stifling a yawn. "Sorry, about that. I'll show her to you after you get some breakfast. I'm pretty sure you must be hungry."

OOC: Hey... again, not showing up as new. Does anyone else have this problem from time to time?

"Thanks... I guess I'll uhh... Go get that, then," Cari said, shrugging the awkwardness of the situation away and moving back to the main room.
