After Gaidrich, Itoya, and Edwin had returned to the sewer, Zira called upon Undine and crossed the river by a dark elven ritual she rarely used. Once on the other side, she began to examine the bank, looking for any signs of passage. Finding none, she sat and waited on a rock on the bank to wait for her comrades in the open.

OOC: *pokes group* If you don't hurry up I may try to have a lesbian tryst with Zira.

~Silemria~

While the others had decided where to gain their own transportation, Silemria had already obtained one some time before. Granted, the said transportation was an annoying horse, but it didn't make it any less rideable.

Unlike most Mercs of her status, she hadn't blown a years pay on a mighty steed that was quick and strong. She had seen to many idiot knights rush into battle, and lose their favorite horse to a footman. No, when she got a horse, she got something cheap, and something that didn't panic. But the horse she had ended up with was absurdly calm, she wondered if it would just continue to eat oats if a dragon landed next to it.

It had been fairly easy to exit town, word hadn't quite gotten around, so the guards weren't suspicious of anything. As she approached the randevous point, she sighed. She was the second one there, the first one being Zira. "Eh, guess the others aren't bloody prepared for travelin'. Not sure about that stripling, he's probably still lookin' for a pretty horse over a good one."

OOC: I wouldn't be opposed.
Zira: I would. >.>

Zira heard a single pair of hoofbeats and gave a start, but she relaxed when she saw that it was only Silemria joining her. Alone. "What?" Zira replied, hoping off her seat on the boulder. "Don't tell me they're bloody horse shopping! We don't have time for that!" the dark elf growled in frustration. "Where's my horse? Does Linda still have him?"

~Silemria~

A bit amused by Zira's reaction, Silemria dismounted. She had left a bit before the others, she knew where to go, and planning out point A to B wasn't needed in these situations. Besides, its not like they needed an escort everywhere. "Last time I checked, aye. But who knows if she'll get lost eh? Apparently that big guy got lost in the bloody sewers. And that grassrunner... can't say i'll miss the pest, but he took off while we were getting your location."

That still creeped her out a little bit. The vanishing act while your attention was only momentarily diverted was something an assasin or thief could master, and either one had the potential to stab you in the back. "Eh, they might 'ave stolen the big one's horse and been behind me the whole way. Still, if they are out shoppin'... well, pray to whatever god that that sheila with yer horse doesn't decide a different one fits ya and sells it, eh?"

It was a blatant tease, of course. Still, she wondered how long it would take them to get here.

Zira gave a sigh at the thought of her horse being sold, then plopped back down on the boulder. Certainly, they had better sense than that. Zira's horse had been with her for a few years now, and she and Thunder were quite close. She didn't imagine herself ever selling him; if she ever needed to give him up, she would leave him at home with her parents. She was also disappointed in hearing that Ultarik was left behind, but she couldn't say that she would miss Alm at his worst.

"Well, I didn't find any sign of them crossing the river, but it seems like they probably traveled up the coastline. We should scout along the coast here until we find a port we can ask at," she explained to Sil, changing the subject to their actual mission.

Getting out of town was no problem. Guards were always happy for a man like Gaidrich to leave their jurisdiction. With Itoya mounted behind him, Linda in the middle on Zira's horse, and Edwin bringing up the rear, the mercenary set a brisk pace for the river. The misgivings he'd discussed with Itoya were pushed to the back of his mind, to be considered later, in a calm moment.

At the riverbank, Zira and Silemria stood waiting. Gaidrich waved and urged Beast on, who reluctantly complied. "Sorry for the wait." he said as they approached. "We took Ultarik's horse back to the guildhall. Would have felt wrong leaving the beast there for who knows how long. Any news here?"

Writing Edwin in since we keep seeming to forget about him.

~Silemria~

As they approached, Silemria watched them passively. There wasn't a huge difference in when they showed up, but still noticable. As Gaidrich spoke, the mercenary simply shrugged. "Just basic trackin'. No sign of any tracks, but thats not sayin' much. We'll just go the most likely path they took if they wanted ta make a quick getaway, and hope we get lucky... still, unless they split up, we should come across some tracks. Parties that size don't move without a trace, eh?"

(ooc: Thanks for mention that Linda was behind you Bundesphar. I am a bit clueless today.)

Linda stopped behind Gaidrich's horse and sigh. She rubbed the top of Thunder's head and smiled a little as she looked at the horse. The girl was only able to hear half of what Silemria was saying, but she was afraid to ask her to repeat. The girl move some strands of hair out of her face as she began to speak. "Are you all ready to go?" She asked the group.

OOC: We keep forgetting about Edwin. :P I don't think his player is coming back, but we'll find another way to write him out later and I'll NPC him as long as necessary.

Zira hopped to her feet again since it seemed everyone had returned. "There's no sign of them landing, but in the raft they took, they couldn't get far. We'll head along the coastline until we find some evidence of their landing," Zira explained, brushing off her skirt as she spoke.

Linda nodded to elf as she finished what she was saying.
