Since this thread was so good and revealed so much information, I'd like to keep it, so I'm reposting stuff. You are welcome to post new facts on this thread too.
Jessica wrote:Well, this thing about giving twenty facts about yourself has been circulating around DeviantART. I haven't done it yet, because no one has tagged me and that would be too much effort to think stuff up about my boring life.

But! I was thinking maybe we could that here, but instead, we give only ten facts about our characters. Things like, where their name came from, what were some inspirations for their appearance, or personality.

I'll post for my characters with their IDs because I'm neurotic that way.

by Ciprian Tremas
1. The name Ciprian was the middle name of someone I knew. I saw it on his driver's liscense and thought it was awesome.

2. I think Paul Walker would be the perfect actor to portray Ciprian, appearance wise. Paul seems a little dim though, compared to Cip.

3. Ciprian probably has the shortest history of all my characters.

4. Ciprian was created to be used in a new storyline that would involve Sephtur's first character, Cian.

5. I decided to make Ciprian as a male, human knight so I could try something I hadn't done before and fill a role that hadn't seen many characters in the game.

6. Ciprian is one of my characters that feels the most real, as in, I can see through his eyes and understand him thoroughly.

7. I took some inspiration for Cip from my ex, Jason.

8. I created Ciprian in Lineage II. As you may have noticed, I use a screenshot of him as my current ID because I don't have a better color picture to use.

9. When I got Gale to meet me in Lineage II, I met him with Ciprian since he was playing a human. He was very disappointed to see me playing a male character and sent "WTB [want to buy] boobs for my friend's character" over the chat channel.

10. Since they're both male, I sometimes try writing Kiran instead of Ciprian.

1. The name Yrsanne consists of two Slavic names: Yra and Anne (that is similar to Ann) and ”s” letter which I’ve put there for a good sounding ^_^

2. Yrsanne is my first character on this forum.

3. She was created for A Dark Elf's Adventure new storyline.

P.S I’ll think about the other facts ^_~

Kylia, something about her

1) The name was chosen on a random name generator, as far as first name goes.

2) The last name came from my favorite GI Joe character, I just rearranged Stormshadow.

3) She was created to reflect the fact both sides of my personality, one that is nice and kind and the other that would not be bothered by hurting another.

4) Her darker side is repressed about as much as mine, covered by a mere mask of positivity.

5) Her fighting style was based off of the dark elf charactere in Forgotten Realms: Demonstone, a game I liked on the XBox.

6) She fights demons but also still has to fight her own inner demons, especially when it comes to certain things such as slavers.

7) She is an emotional trainwreck sometimes, she will not admit that and has on several times tried to completely forget her past to no success.

8) Her nickname is derived from D&D dark elven, even though fiends are completely different from demons in that system I use it as a blanket term.

9) She cannot handle her alcohol, she gets garrolous and mean when drunk. I can't handle mine either but I just get kinda odd, can't explain it.

10) She has nightmares still about her past, which that chapter of her life is not yet fully extinguished. At least two other demons who had owned her from her captivity still live, she does not know that.

by Granite Stoneheart
1. Granite was originally a concept of a former player, Moryssa. She suggested making a female dwarf character who was the daughter of a dwarf mentioned in her history. She didn't want to take on another character, so I made Granite instead.

2. I pronounce her name as Gran-eet instead of Gra-nit so it sounds more feminine.

3. Her last name, Stoneheart, was created when our former mod, Rob, wanted to give the characters a make over. He suggested than I enhance her character, so I came up with a family name. Stoneheart came from a name generator, and I instantly came up with a backstory to the name.

4. Granite was supposed to go as simply Granite Stone so no one would misjudge her for her last name, but I decided to just go ahead and use it.

5. I made sure Granite had very feminine eyes, so when people drew her, there would be a very odd contrast between her eyes and masculine beard.

6. Playing Granite helped me learn it's fun to play with perceptions. :D I made sure she was quite interested in finding a man for that reason.

7. I like to tease Tom with creating mental images of Granite's sex life. He asked me to censor such comments by describing a field of flowers instead. However, I think he probably associates that field of flowers with hawt dwarf secks now.

8. Granite might end up with Thangroth again, if they get the chance to meet in the game. While she's got the hots for Ooke right now, she won't be too happy to find out his religious beliefs. ;)

9. In Children of Eiyuu Kishi Den, Granite and Thangroth had seven children, six daughters and one son. All of their daughters were named after gems; Diamond, Ruby, Safire, Amber, Opal and Agate. Thei son was named after Granite's youngest brother, Borin, who was killed in the Chaos War plot.

10. Granite is such a girly-girl. :P

1. Alm is nuts. So am I.

2. Alm is a phillanderous pig. So am I.

3. He is generally haunted by terrible dreams. So am I.

4. Alm is nearly penniless. So am I.

5. Alm is keniving, manipulative and generally evil.

6. Alm has many personalities. I don't. I barely have one.

7. Alm's name was derrived from a joke. So was mine. (I was named for my father)

8. Alm has a bad memory. Umm...Alm has a bad memory.

9. Alm is messy and likes to act like a child. I am merely an "artist".

10. Alm composes poetry based off of his mood. I compose poetry because I have nothing better to do with my time.

by Adriel
1. Adriel was originally the son of Kiran and Moryssa from the Children of Eiyuu Kishi Den. He had a twin sister, Zo. Adriel had his father's physical structure and Moryssa's coloration while Zo had Kiran's color and Moryssa's structure.

2. I don't remember where Adriel's name came from, because my memory sucks, but it was chosen between Mory and me, and I think one of us got it from babynames.com.

3. Adriel's mother, Nehen, got her name from a Stonehenge poster on my wall. I was looking at the word STONEHENGE, saw Nehen in it, and decided it looked like a cool name to use somewhere.

4. I was inspired to bring back Adriel when rewriting Kiran's history. I felt that with his promisciuty and the lack of contraceptives, Kiran had to have a kid. There was also the fact that I didn't feel Kiran's banishment had enough of a serious reason behind. I wanted to stick to the original story of breaking the clan elder's daughter's heart, so what could hurt her more than tricking her into loving him, tricking him into knocking her up, then cheating on her. That'd piss daddy off for sure!

5. It was easier to stick with Adriel's original appearance since I have a small (crappy) picture of him from CEKD. So, Nehen has the same coloration as Moryssa.

6. Adriel wants to kick Kiran's ass. Like just about anyone whose met him.

7. I am too distracted to finish.

by Barbarian Barbie
1. Aroal started as a character in Champions of Norrath. I based her appearance in this game on the character I created. I wish I could have taken a screenshot of her! I sat and looked at the model in her underwear, then wrote down all her tattoos so I could make a Lodoss character of her.

2. I wanted to play every race/class combination available in the game, so I made a barbarian, but with no existing character to base her on, I decided to make up a new name. I don't know where it came from, but I was mixing up some letters and ended up with Aroal.

3. I've been playing Aroal in Sephtur's Record of Lodoss Wars RPG on yahoo groups for a year or so.

4. Aroal's entire story and personality was based on her theme song, The Wreckoning.

5. Her husband could make an appearance in the game and stir up trouble.

6. Aroal doesn't like to involve herself with children. Though she never wanted to have kids with her husband, she was still affected by her miscarriage and still born baby.

7. I don't think I can draw Aroal!

8. I use the screen name Barbarian Barbie as a joke. Aroal is blonde haired, blue-eyed and busty like Barbie, so I felt compelled to make the screen name.

9. I just came up with Aroal's signature in a conversation with Rory. :D

10. I decided to create Aroal not for a specific plot, but just because I hadn't played a barbarian before.

1. Almelchaya Al Elazuur was a name I chose at random based off the way it flowed of my tongue. I only had "Al" to start off with.

2. Al's history was inspired by the current long distance-long term relationship I am in.

3. Al's mother was based off of my current girlfriend, stubborn and hot headed.

4. Al's horse Marielle was based off of a horse I raised when I was younger. It was a royal pain in the ass but would only let me feed it.

5. Elainne, the younger sister/squire figure, is also based off my girlfriend, except when she was younger and more prone to making rash decisions and talking too much.

6. The idea of a cursed sword came up based off of a Scandanavian Legend I once read about a sword needing the blood of victims before it could ever be sheathed, and tweaked it for efficiency and to make the curse seem a little more morbid.

7. Saying the first two letters of Al's names outloud makes my tongue feel funny. You try it: Al Al El. say it ten times fast.

8. Al is a change from my usual characters that have rather wispish qualities to them. I wanted to make Al thicker and more robust, just to give him a sense of flavor.

9. Al's favorite food is porridge. I don't know why, it just is.

10. Al has his mother's temper, both are nasty if ever raised to ire. That's because of the red head, I presume.

I’ve found this in Google

Saint Ursanne (population approximately 1,000) is a city and a commune of the canton of Jura, Switzerland which has preserved its medieval character. The city contains many historical curiosities (collègiales, a cloister, ruins of a castle, a hermitage). The River Doubs makes a loop by Saint-Ursanne before flowing into France. Additionally, the city is famous for the medieval festival which it organizes each summer. Coordinates: fr:Saint-Ursanne de:Saint-Ursanne Category:Municipalities of Switzerland

by Vampiress Ileta
Ooh...I want to bring this thread back. It's fun!

1. Ileta is from my Lodoss hentai RPG, which I recently closed. Part of the reason for starting this entire Vampire Hunt plot was because of how much fun we had with Ileta and Aryen.

2. Ileta was originally just an NPC that Aryen was supposed to sleep with, drain, and leave for dead. However, I had the idea to make her a vampire too, so Aryen wouldn't be alone as a villian.

3. Ileta's name just came from a name generator. She didn't have a last name, but I decided to give her one in this game, so she's Ileta Drake. Drake is a pretty common name in Moss anyway.

4. For anyone not familiar with my DeviantART page, I rewrote the series of posts between Ileta and Aryen about her awakening as a vampire. It inspired me so much that I just had to do something more with it. (Rebirth.)

5. Ileta's profile will need a big overhaul shortly. :P

6. People seem to want to read more about Ileta and Aryen, unfortunately, most of the story is a little too mature to be posted on DA.

7. Ileta ended up being just about as slutty in this RPG as she was in the old one, but a little more focused on money here.

8. Since everyone seemed to want to know what happened after Rebirth, here's a little summary. Aryen took Ileta out to find her first kill, and she choose Dart, an NPC that she was flirting with before Aryen came in. They tracked him down at an inn with another woman, and Ileta killed both, with some help from Aryen. I might be able to post that much, though there was some sexual content. I'm lazy though....

9. I think I'm going to just post the rebirth story when we get to that point.

10. Oh yes, one more small detail from the old game. When Ileta was taking Aryen back to her apartment, they were met by a dark elf character (Katan) who was a vampire hunter ordained by the Marfa temple--oddly enough. Anyway, Ileta was more afraid of the dark elf than Aryen. Aryen knocked her out telepathically and killed Katan, then when she woke, he told her that he was protecting her from the dark elf.

by Priestess N'shara
Yet another from me. :3

1. N'shara was a character I created years ago, but never really had the chance to use in any game. Based on a black Barbie I had and one of my costume ideas, I made an African/Arabic based sorceress. I drew this picture of her back in 2001: N'shara 2001

2. N'shara's name came from an old story that I wrote when I was thirteen. It was one of many names I created for an extensive family tree of a royal family. Her new last name, Al Shareef, has some inspiration from Almelchaya's name, and from a list of Arabic names I found (I also took her parents names from that list).

3. Some people capitalize the S in her name, but I intend for it to be lowercase: N'shara.

4. N'shara's concept was taken off the shelf and dusted off in the Chaos War plot when she was one of six Marfa priest NPCs in Raiden.

5. N'shara recieved further attention when Blake wanted to make Aryen in the Hentai RPG and we started a new storyline. So, I created her there as a less-than-virtuous priestess who allowed her libido to get the best of her, nearly resulting in her death.

6. N'shara is not nearly as promiscious in this game. In fact, she's still a virgin, but she still is attracted to the more material things in life and may falter in her already shaky convictions.

7. Besides Aryen, N'shara's other lover in the hentai game was a half-elf named Drakar. He found her the next morning after Aryen left her, and carried her to the Marfa temple for healing.

8. For those of you who haven't read her history, N'shara was born with straight hair. When she was burned in Efreet's attack, all her hair burned off and when it grew back in, it was curly. I took this from a story in my family. My great-grandmother's sister Susan Ida was born with straight brown hair in a family of curly-haired redheads and her mother loved her hair. Unfortunately, when she was a toddler, a pot of scalding water was dumped on her head and as her hair grew out afterwards, it was curly and red.

9. N'shara will soon have two very close brushes with death.

10. Despite the tragedy of her childhood, N'shara remembers nothing of it and is not really affected by it.

Nakira is one of my long term characters, even going into generational so here are some facts about her.

1. Nakira is the original first name of Nuij originally, Ankira.

2. Originally she was a rather slutty dark elf from the ROLWH group, who had a child as well who was a mercenary.

3. She is from the same group as Ileta and Eidon, the Record of Lodoss War Hentai RPG.

4. Originally she used archery, and was a skilled marksman as a dark elf.

5. Her past is probably her biggest obstacle, parts of show through in her actions and how she conducts herself in social dealings.

6. Her mother was only in depression when the whole affair happened, it was an irrational but final decision she made. Something she does not regret to this day, because of appearances.

7. She will protect her family at any cost, even if it killed her she would defend her family.

8. She is exceptionally devout, she has never missed a service since arriving in Dragons Eye. It was through going to temple and Dralan she recovered, though she still struggles at times when she deals with nobles.

9. Her survivability reflects how I have gotten by in life, even when things were tight she will not give up.

10. While the original Nakira was slutty and her libido was high, she is now rather strong willed and would rather take it each day at a time.

You forgot to mention that she was a retired prostitute in the old game. :P

1. Laies is Midau's grandchild. He's about two years older than Estom.

2. Laies's name came from what he would chase as a charismatic emo elf boy: Ladies (take out the d)

3. Unlike most of my elven herritage boys, his hair is short. Also somewhat of a departure from most of my male characters.

4. Laies was composed/created while I was listening to Helena by My Chemical Romance. Strangely enough, he was unaffected by the lyrics at all...

5. Lais's last names, both the original and his replacement name, mean "Light".

6. Laies's shamanistic abilities are more advanced than some of his even half-elven relatives due to the thought that perhaps shamanism can leave a herreditary mark on the family.

7. Laies, unlike a lot of my characters, was surprisingly easy to draw.

8. Laies's life is touched with tragedy, mostly due to the spirits' overprotective hold over his life.

9. He's the only one in his family to ever have called Valkyrie.

10. Laies feels more at ease in the forest than he does in the city, although both his mother and grandfather both feel more at ease in the city.
