"Aye, sir," Broun grunted. Leaning down, he hefted Bastion onto his shoulder. The weight was getting to him a bit. "No trouble, friend," he advised the dwarf. "Ye won't make it no matter. You'd have to be some sorta good trickster to get us." Leading them on, he brought them around a corner and to a cell. Broun placed Bastion down gently inside. Broun glanced back, as if he was nervous of something. No one was going to be coming around the corner after him. Perfect.

"You two came at the wrong time," a smooth, educated voice informed them, leaking from the lips of the guard, "and there is little time left to finish this charade." Broun glanced back around through the cell door. No one. He was more concerned about the real Broun and when he would wake up. As much as he wanted to complete his real goals, the guilds would not allow the sacrifice of innocents for it. "If you would be so kind as to maintain your trust in me for a few, complicated moments, I think it would be prudent for us to be leaving. Our welcome will be worn out quite quickly."

As they were out of sight of the others, Granite relaxed her hands from the fake bonds and planted her fists on her hips. "Well, hurry it up! I'm not going to keep going along like this forever!" she growled in a whisper to 'Broun'.

Bastion suddenly rolled over, looking up at 'Broun' quizzicly. "What are you planning on doing exactly?" the young mage asked in a whisper.

"The best performances are improvised, my good friend. And no one knows theater like me. This will take much focus on my part. All I need from the both of you is silence, obedience, and for both of you to never take your hands off of mine. Clear?" The guard smiled a witty smile, something he was probably never capable of up until today.

Bastion glanced at the man, the cell door, Granite, and back to the man again. That this fellow was another mage was now fairly clear to him, and while he was suspiscious of his reasons for being here at all, the hope of a way out was a powerful temptation. "I'd say we should play along, Milady." he said softly to Granite. "He should be harmless. To us, at least."

"Yeah..." Granite replied, trailing off her statement. She wanted to trust "Broun", or whoever he was, but she was anxious and impatient. She just wanted to get out of here with Bastion and find Jenesis--and maybe bash some skulls in along the way. Granite wasn't the sort of person to let someone else deal with her problems either, but here she was, waiting on this mysterious mage and his agenda.

"Capital." The guard snatched up both their hands and smiled from ear to ear. And in that instant, he was gone. Not only was he gone, but neither of them could see themselves or each other either. They were invisible. Completely so. "Now follow my lead and keep silent. We shall be out of here in mere moments."

Slowly, the guard led them on, cloaked in clarity. The main room was as they left it. Granite's mace lay on the ground. Leave it, dwarf... , he thought as he attempted to pull them towards the back door.

Bastion barely suppressed a gasp as the spell took hold. All three of us, and so quickly too! This fellow must be quite the mage. I hope he's not here for me. he thought as he followed the tugging back the way they came.

He'd have liked to encourage Granite, but he knew to stay silent and indeed had nearly all he could do to walk straight. You never knew how hard walking was until you couldn't see your feet.

Granite obeyed the mage and held onto his hand. She longed to grab her mace, but she knew little of magic and didn't dare to ruin the illusion. Invisible, and doing her best not to trip over her own feet as the mystery mage dragged her along, she stared longing at her precious weapon. Hopefully she would get it back soon enough...

Desmond's heart slowed a bit. He was worried the dwarf would blow everything for her possession. Surely, he could purchase her a new one or something. With both hands full, Desmond found it awkward to attempt to open the back door. Eventually, he used the weight of Granite's hand and the back of his own to get the handle down, but the sound it made could certainly wake dragons.

One of the guards started to head their way. The jig was up already. Giving up on silence, he shoved Granite through the doorway and let go of her. The invisibility broke immediately, revealing her to the light of day, just outside. Reaching into his breast pocket, Desmond threw the last of the sleep dust he had made, which felled the guard. Already, he could hear others shouting. But none of them had any intention of staying. "Go!" Desmond ordered.

Dragging Bastion through and grabbing back on to Granite's hand desperately, he probably happened to be dragging her faster than her legs were able to carry her. "Come on!" he gasped, already beginning to fatigue. "Follow me!"

Granite staggered along after the mage as he drug her and Bastion along behind him. Trying to keep from falling, she grabbed his hand with her other hand, clinging to him as her short, stocky legs tried to keep up with the lankier humans. With all the effort of staying upright and on her own two feet, the dwarf couldn't get a word out to voice her concerns and answer the questions flashing through her head.

However, several feet away from the warehouse, the dwarf tripped over a cobblestone and as she tried use Rory's hand to catch her balance, she only ended up putting her weight on his arm, potentially dragging him down as well.

After a fruitful search for information, Silvia and Brest had made their way on horseback across town to the warehouse district near the bay. Silvia was beginning to wonder about the point of traveling by horseback now, and her job as well. If Kierland was there, then her job would be over in only a matter of hours. The half-elf mercenary hoped that it wasn't the case...

As they approached the location of Azure Storages, they were greeted with an active scene. A tall man leading a dwarf and another young fellow came running out of the very warehouse they were looking for as if the building were on fire. Out front there were two men slumped on either side of the entrance, and shouting from within. "Oi, Raiden for ya," Silvia groaned to Brest. "What's going on here?" she muttered to herself.

Bastion felt the weight of their little union shift, and he quickly slid his hand from the mystery mages', his other hand dipping into his coat. As he did so, he saw two mounted people ahead, and his heart leapt for hope. "Call the guards!" he shouted, forgetting where they were in the heat of the moment.

At the warehouse, Firale burst from the front door. The tattooed mans' eyes found the slumbering guards, and his scowl grew confused. "Broun? When did you...? How...?" With a snarl, he kicked at the large man. "Up! You too, Kierland!" He halfturned and shouted towards the building. "Halker! Gandre! Get Master Wade out! Something fishys' on out here."

The invisibility broke off of Bastion and Granite's fall shattered the mage's focus. The invisibility shook and fell away, revealing the other two, tumbled on the floor. But Broun was the one who had tumbled. The mage's disguise had maintained. Glancing back, he realized how close they were to being caught. "No time to explain. Our ride is waiting. Up, dwarf. We are almost free." The elegant, noble voice that fell from such a dirty, rough-looking guard was jarring. Struggling to his feet, he attempted to pull the dwarf to her feet. "Just a bit farther now."

Brest listens to Silvia and raises a brow at her comment. "Yes, strange things happen in this place." His attention becomes riveted to the men at this warehouse and then someone calls for the guards. The scene continues to change and the people appear out of thin air confusing the knight for a moment and then the name is said, Kierland.

There is a ringing as Brest's sword clears his scabbard and he points it at Kierland as he urges his horse forward quickly to bar the way of Kierland escaping into the street or anyone approaching the beleaguered people. "Stand to villain, justice has found you."
