Cloaked in an invisibility spell, Cecil tacked up a notice on the message board, in the lobby of the Mercenaries Guild of Roid. It read the same as the others he had posted...

The old wizard Kaladron seeks stout hearted adventurers for an urgent mission. Though it be a difficult and dangerous journey, so only the bravest should apply! Be assured the reward offered is a vast fortune to most, but the risk could be fatal. All such interested parties should seek out Kaladron, in his stone tower,
just north of the Forest of Mirrors and east of the mountains. Apply soon, for wasted time will be an enemy to this quest.

.....warded message, only be visible to those qualified to see it, to all others the message would be beyond notice, a unreadable and scribbled mess.
Transforming again into a white crow, Cecil flew off through the same hole it had entered, in a rooftop window, and out into the night skies. West he flew, past and beyond the mountains to the north, he edged over the swamplands to the west and shortly angled northward again. His pace was slower now, as he moved over the night air, and towards his next destination, the free city of Raiden.
Dawn... he thought... I should be able to make Raiden by dawn.

Again, as happened in Blade a short time before, another pitch black raven flew into the door just as a guild member opened it and stepped out onto the street beyond.
The bird flew up and perched on the high rafters of lobby of the Roid Mercanaries Guild. It's black eyes seemed to be watching all those in the room below.
