Danthiir sat in the carriage that took him and his mother to the Temple of Marfa in Roid, Akaria sat there in stunned silence looking out a window as the night was like a black void to her. Seeing her so distressed bothered him so he finally spoke his mind, hoping she would talk, "I know what he did hurt you, it hurt me just as much too. We'll get help at the temple, if anything I'll seek out Altaris and see what he can do for me. We can't take this threat lightly, but I don't want you throwing your life away in your shell. Mother, please just tell me what is wrong." Akaria sighed as she looked at her son, not smiling but seeming quite heartbroken at the sudden departure and betrayal of her husband she spoke in a quiet tone. "It's going to hurt for a while, I didn't expect this of him after twenty years. That fight in the hallway, you've been training so hard and perhaps if you can talk to the king maybe he will allow you to settle this problem in place of all other training and tests. Once we get to the temple you need to rest as much as I do, for now perhaps get as much rest as you can. We'll have a lot to do once we arrive, and seeking out the help of Altaris would be wise." Danthiir replied with a small nod and pulled a blanket from under the seat, lying across the length of it he pulled it over him and fell asleep. Smiling lightly for once Akaria too did the same, but she quietly cried herself to sleep at the reality of the situation. The carriage rolled on towards Roid, the cold chill of fear and death creeping into their dreams.
