History: Terin was the first child of a Common Elf couple in the Mirror Forest. He was born long before the elves opened their minds to the other races. Ten years after his birth, his mother conceived again and his sister, Naclia, was born. The siblings grew up close to each other, since very few elves ever had more than one child. They trained as rangers and were close friends with a young elf named Aiden. Aiden was the son of a half-elf in truth, but very few knew his real story. However, their peace in the Mirror Forest did not last long. When Terin was 82, the Demon God King was released in Skard. The Mirror Forest and nearby Dwarven kingdom of Stone were the first attacked, thus beginning the War of the Demon God. Terin and his family never saw the attack coming. In the battle, their parents were killed as were many friends and a portion of the Forest. Terin fought side by side with Naclia and when the battle was over, he vowed to avenge their parents. Naclia felt the same need for vengeance as he did; however, Terin asked her to stay out of it. The two siblings fought for days, Terin wanted Naclia to stay behind since she was younger. Naclia didn't want to be protected, she insisted that either they both go, or both stay, but in the end, Naclia gave up her fight and Terin left to join forces with the humans and dwarves. Terin joined the Hundred Heroes, an assortment of human, Dwarven and elven warriors who traveled into the Labyrinth to slay the Demon God. In the Labyrinth, they fought demons, undead and horrid monsters, many fell, including Terin. Wounded horribly and unconscious, Terin was left for dead. During the battle, Terin had been slashed across the face, torso, and hit his head hard on the way down. In the aftermath, Terin was dug from the rubble by an elf by the name of Taringail. However, Terin did not know who he was, what he was, where he was, or why he was bloodied and torn. Taringail took Terin to safety, then treated his wounds to the best of his ability. They worked hard at trying to restore Terin’s memory, but with no luck. There were a few things Taringail could tell Terin, that he was an elf and his name was Terin, thanks to a bracelet Terin wore engraved with his name. It had been a birthday gift from Naclia many years ago, though Terin could not remember. Terin relied on Taringail for knowledge and help. They traveled from Moss to Kannon where they visited towns and villages. Taringail was a strange man, Terin knew that. Eventually, he found out why. He learned that Taringail was in fact a vampire. Disgusted and afraid, Terin fled and went off on his own. Taringail would have never threatened Terin because of his vampiric nature though, for Taringail would never bite an elf, out of respect of his birth-race. Terin started visiting forests, hoping to find some clue of who he was. Starting from southern Kannon and working his way north, he stopped in small woods and even the Forest of No Return. Still no luck though, Terin found nothing. While in Alania, Terin was caught in a bar fight and on the losing end. Cornered by a human man with greater skill than Taringail had re-taught Terin, he drew his sword, hoping that he could make use of it. In a rush, everything returned to Terin. Possibly because of the heavy blows to his head, but he couldn’t be certain why. He remembered who he was. He was Terin, an elf of the Mirror Forest. His parents were killed in the attack. Terin went to Marmo with the Hundred Heroes to avenge them. His sister, Naclia stayed behind. Terin managed to fight his way out, now that his skill had returned. He dashed off into the wilderness where he tried to order his memories. After a few months, Terin set out of the forest, this time, with a more direct mission. Find Naclia. When he reached the Mirror Forest, he was dismayed to find it leveled to the ground. He learned what he could from the survivors, that Naclia had left months earlier with a knight, then returned to fight Cray, the one who had destroyed the Forest, they told him they headed to Kannon. Following a trail, Terin spent the next six months following information to Raiden, where he heard an army of heroes was to meet. Personality: Terin has recovered from his amnesia, but he is still confused. He is determined to find Naclia, who has believed he was dead since he left 30 years ago. Terin is a very serious person, not at all the person he used to be. Very self-conscious of his looks, especially his ear. He tries to keep himself hidden and tends to be a loner, but he will not turn away a potential friend, but he won’t go out and make them. Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Quotes: "I am going to find my sister." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Horse Name: Elén Gender: Gelding Age: 9 Breed: Palfrey Appearance: Though he has an elven name, he is not an elven horse. Elén is a rather light, but hardy horse. He's strong enough to carry Terin and perhaps another light person, but not for long distance travel. A bay of a drab brown shade with black points, a thin blaze and white cornets on all feet. History: Terin purchased Elén some years ago when he was a two year old. Elén had already been broken in and gelded by his breeder, so when Terin got him, he was ready to go. Elén has been Terin's constant companion for the last seven years. Temperment: Since he was gelded, Elén isn't ruled by his hormones and is therefore, calmer and easier to handle than he would have been if he were a complete stallion. He trusts Terin completely, partially because he's an elf. Elén looks to Terin for all guidance.
