Fern sent me the soundtrack from the Dreamcast game (Record of Lodoss War: Advent of Cardice (Kardis)), so it's now up in the gallery. If you care to listen, it's mostly orchestral music. http://gallery.eiyuukishiden.com/thumbn ... ?album=361

As a note, the player in the gallery doesn't work so well in Firefox, so you might want to load it in IE. It won't show up in Firefox, but the song will eventually play.

Yes, it's very old. I found it on ebay several years ago, and my boyfriend kept his Dreamcast. I've still yet to finish the game though. :P I always get stuck without enough enchantments to go on, and I have to back and grind to get more mithril. XD

Dreamcast predated the PS2 and Game Cube. :P That was the era of the original Playstation and Nintendo 64, I believe. Or maybe even before the Playstation? I wasn't a really big gamer back then. Or ever, really. :P

I'm pretty sure PS1 came out around 2000 or..........2001. I know 2001 at the least because that's the year Metal Gear Solid 2 came out and it was for the PS2, and the Dreamcast was still around by then. And some games from Dreamcast went to PS2 =O Why not rerelease with better graphics? :(

Playstation 1 been around since like 93/94. =P

Marfa damn it all o.o

It's not fair! It's just not fair! Deedlit in a game with PS3/WII/360 graphics would be so sexy it wouldn't even be funny. *cries*

yoo if anyone is reading this yes record of lodoss war is an amazing game maybe not story wise but the level up system is very unique once you play it you'll understand.
this game is how I got into record of lodoss war from the first place.
if you have a good computer you can run it using dreamcast emulators which can make the game look nicer and have less slowdowns when ambushed by a lot of enemies.
today its relitively hard to get an original copy of the game i bought it from ebay and i was lucky to get it for 13$ although it was the pal version so I'm not sure you can find that kind of price again.
that said the game is challenging every time you think your on top of the game because that every creature you encounter its easy to defeat shortly after you understand you were wrong.
so if anyone needs tips for emulators its pretty easy currently makaron, nulldc and demul are best.makaron cant utilize keyboard but if you have any joystick with a thumbstick and triggerss like the xbox 360 or the dreamcast original controller connected to computer via trio linker plus than it works perfectly. nulldc makes the game look very nice on my computer you can try it too null dc can use keyboard but youll be lucky if joystick will work for you.
to get the game go to snesorama trade post under dreamcast rpgs.
finally I hope someone wil make more games based on the franchise.
good luck!! and enjoy

just to clear on before its not going to look better than on the dreamcast im sorry my bad max resolution is 640x480 but maybe makaron is going to change it in a few months on the devs blog dknute(the author) said that he is going to try and support higher resolutions.
anyways nulldc fully supports joy-pads and there are several ways to do it:
1 way is through purupuru plugin (through sdl) the other is through xinput but you'll need an emulator that tricks programs to think your using xbox 360 controllers get it from here
http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/
and put it on nulldc folder also you need the dll that for download from the x360ce site.
I hope you play this game in any way and tell me what you think about it cause I don't know why but for some reason I really liked it and I've played a bunch of rpgs old and new ones.but this is a game i just wish it was longer even after beating the 2 dragons and the cold caves
good luck and I hope you enjoy it ayen if you're reading this or anyone!!
p.s.
thanks for the soundtrack how did you get it theres no other place on the net that has it not even youtube

One of our members found the soundtrack and sent it to me, I have no idea where she got it.
