Jord was a young Alanian man born to a hunter and his wife near the Forest of No Return. When he was young, his mother fell ill, but they could not afford to pay for healing. So, Jord’s father set out to kill a mythical beast that could fetch him enough money to pay for his wife’s healing. However, in his haste, he became lost in the Forest of No Return instead. Fifteen years later, Jord took up his father’s craft and became a hunter himself.
While hunting in the outskirts of the forest, Jord crossed paths with Deedlit, and they talked for a bit. He told her about what happened to his father, and about human society, then the two parted ways. Shortly afterwards, Deedlit became aware of a human lost in the forest who had been seen near the village. Estas has been dispatched to kill him, but Deedlit stopped him, and together they freed the man who turned to be Jord’s father. The older hunter was sent home to his son, not having aged a day in fifteen years.
